Boris Johnson backs ASA partner's project
ASA partner in ground breaking London School project
A project in which Jon Geen's team has been instrumental has had the personal backing of London Mayor, Boris Johnson.
We have been instrumental in the set up and structuring of a new project to establish a large new secondary school in Central London, which has attracted a lot of media interest.
The project is aimed at bringing an exemplar, life science biased Free School to the London Borough of Southwark, an area with high demand for school places. Despite tough competition from private residential bidders for the site, the team were part of a successful bid to acquire the site for a mixed school, residential and community project. The project has cross party support.
Jonathan Geen, who headed up the £200m project, and who remains involved in the project, said: “This again demonstrates our team’s credentials in creating innovative solutions to help developments. In this case, we not only structured the transaction through our Real Estate and Corporate legal teams, we brought on board other professionals to assist in design and financial modelling, which enabled the client to succeed. We were also heavily involved in the discussions around viability with the vendor and Greater London Authority and now look forward to the planning and build phases”.
