Hugh was formerly Global Head of Corporate Finance (M&A) and Head of UK Debt Advisory at PwC. More recently he was the UK Senior Adviser to US Hedge Fund, Anchorage Capital. He is also a board adviser to Industrial Developments Advisory Board (part of the UK government Business, Innovation and Skills Department).

During his time at PwC, Hugh took its corporate finance business to the number one position in UK mid-market M&A league tables in terms of number of deals done and by value of transactions. This was achieved by building PwC’s reputation for best-in-class transaction skills resulting in numerous awards from clients including amongst others “UK Adviser of the Year Award” and achieving the “European Mid-Market Adviser of the Year Award”.

Hugh's experience has been working with businesses, leading teams on a range of transactions as well as debt restructuring and complex shareholder structures.

Hugh is a chartered accountant and a graduate of the University of St. Andrews and University of Strathclyde.
