Adam Street Advisers has advised the shareholders of WS Training on the sale of the business to Coniston Peak, an education and training group who also operate Workpays and Orangebox. The transaction completed on undisclosed terms.
WS Training is an established independent training provider based in Suffolk, delivering a broad range of vocational education and skills programmes, including apprenticeships and commercial training, with a long-standing presence across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Workpays is an award-winning training provider headquartered in the Midlands, supporting learners and employers through employability, skills and work-based learning programmes. Orangebox is a provider of employment focused skills training across the North East, North West and the Midlands.
ASA provided lead sell-side advice to WS Training’s shareholders throughout the process, including preparation, positioning, buyer engagement, negotiation of commercial terms and coordination through due diligence and completion. The transaction further reinforces ASA’s sector experience advising education, training and wider business services companies — particularly founder-led and family owned.
Jane Wood, Founder of WS Training, commented:
“ASA were outstanding from start to finish. They ran a disciplined process, kept momentum when it mattered, and translated complexity into clear decisions for us as shareholders. Their sector knowledge and judgement were invaluable, and we felt properly supported at every step.”
Andrew Barnsley, Managing Partner at Adam Street Advisers, said:
“WS Training is a high-quality provider with a well-earned reputation in its region. We are delighted to have supported the shareholders in achieving the right outcome and partnering with a group that is committed to growth in education and training. We wish both WS Training and Coniston Peak every success as they build the next phase together.”
