US hedge fund investment in UK care home group​

 

Andrew Barnsley, Managing Partner of Adam Street Advisers, has advised New Century Care on US hedge fund Anchorage investment in the group.

Anchorage Capital Group has become a cornerstone investor in New Century Care for an undisclosed amount. NCC operates 27 care homes and owns the freehold interest in all of its properties, with 1,279 registered beds, located in the South East, North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.

Founder Paul Warren will retain a significant stake in the company and will work together with Anchorage to grow the business.

Andrew Barnsley introduced New Century Care to Anchorage and worked with the company and its shareholders to facilitate, negotiate and advise on all aspects of the transaction.
