Acuity in strategic alliance for a combined legal and corporate finance service

December 4 2015

Business law firm Acuity Law has strengthened its offering through a strategic alliance with London corporate advisory boutique, Adam Street Advisers (ASA).

Acuity joins with ASA to make up the ASA Group, a partnership that will enhance the service offering to clients of both firms, especially in the healthcare and education sectors where ASA has a market leading reputation and track record.

Already highly ranked across the board in national and European directories for corporate deals and property finance transactions, Acuity are pleased to have made this step to further grow their City base, including both national and international reach through offices in London and Cardiff.

The move comes at a time of expansion for the award-winning law firm, which has recently welcomed dispute resolution partner David Hudson from HSBC’s Canary Wharf headquarters and Rob Foulston, partner and former MD at Deutsche Bank. Acuity has also announced a series of six senior promotions across its offices as the business continues to build on its ever growing client base. All Acuity's partners have previously worked with large regional or City firms.

Steve Berry, Acuity Chairman, commented that: “Acuity is delighted to be working with ASA and to be part of the ASA Group. We bring complementary skills and expertise to those of the ASA team and through the ASA Group we can offer clients a ‘one stop shop’ for legal and corporate finance advice. We have the expertise and critical mass to build on the great reputation of both firms and this can only be good news for the clients of ASA and Acuity”.

Andrew Barnsley, Founder and Managing Partner of ASA, said: "The corporate finance market is evolving. Entrepreneurs, owners of small and medium size companies and management teams want a single point of contact that they can trust for their professional advice. ASA clients have access to a partner team with an unrivalled range of experience and expertise, and have the option of combining finance advice with legal and tax support in a seamless manner. This is a particularly powerful offering where a client needs early assistance to structure a deal and then corporate advice to maximise value through a sales process".
